A therapy session is 50 minutes in duration, commonly called the “therapy hour.” The remaining 10 minutes are used to complete payment, schedule the next appointment and complete sessions notes.
If you decide to book an appointment, there is no commitment for ongoing therapy. The frequency of sessions will depend on your particular needs and is a collaborative decision. Sessions typically occur on a weekly basis. If you are in distress you can be seen more frequently (as needed). Alternatively, if things are going well or if finances are an issue, you can be seen less often (i.e., every two weeks or once a month).
